There was no lie in for Bec 2 on Sunday! Whilst most of us were still in bed, Bec 2 took on Bromley 1 in the LRL. A missing shot clock and 9:15am start time didn’t deter the team’s determination. Bec 4s first game of the season and although it wasn't a win we hope to keep getting better as we play more games a fun relaxed game against back 5 was a great way to start the season with three new players Jess, Becca, and Ellie (who scored her debut goal)for we were still getting on her feet in the first half. A brilliant game with a Super Sub!
First game of season for Bec 3 and it started how we wanted, within 10 minutes we were 3-1 up with Jack and Joe both scoring. The team were working together very well in attack Joe and Dan are a dream team (looking alike must be helping) with Megan and Anshul putting up shots but not going in and it would help if megan wasn’t on the floor! Bec 2 kick of the 2018/19 season with a win!
Bec 2’s mighty title defence began in the not so mighty venue of Epsom college early on a Sunday morning. The team were in high spirits though with Stu (c), Jon, Chloe and Camille starting in attack, and Billy, Craig, Cassie and Caitlin making up the defence. The start for Bec was slightly fatigued, with Nomads taking an early 6 goal lead. It was clear perhaps some of the summer cobwebs were still around as the shooting was not quite as clinical as usual.
