Want to play for Bec this season? Come down to one of our trials!
After a long summer of holidays, outdoor tournaments and Summer Sessions down on Tooting Bec Common, Bec Korfball Club is about to move into full flow for the imminent indoor season. If you want to be a part of the Bec family then we’d love you to come down to one of our open trials. There’s a spot in one of our teams for everyone and it’s up to our coaches to help you find the one that you belong in!
First & Second Team:
Open Trial:
What: This one is for the big time players. An open trial for everyone who’d like to be considered for this season’s first and second team squads. New coaches John Denton & Graham Box will be leading the session and have promised plenty of match play so you can show what you can do!
When: 09:30 to 12:00 on Sunday 10th September 2017
Where: Trinity School, Shirley Park, Croydon, CR9 7AT
Follow-Up Trial:
What: This one is invite only and will give the chosen ones a second chance to impress the new coaches. It will also give everyone a chance to check out the new squad training venue!
When: 20:00 to 22:00 on Wednesday 13th September 2017
Where: St Martins-in-the-fields High School for Girls, 155 Tulse Hill, London, SW2 3UP
What Next: The selected 1st/2nd squads will continue to train at this time and venue from Wednesday 20th September onwards.
Third, Fourth & Fifth Team:
Open Trial:
What: If you don’t quite make it into our first and second team squad, then don’t worry as our third and fourth team are also loaded with talented people looking to improve their game. This session will be for all players who wish to play in one of these sides
When: 19:30 to 21:30 on Tuesday 19th September 2017
Where: Graveney School, Welham Road, Tooting, SW17 9BU
What Next: The selected 3rd/4th team squads will continue to train at this time and venue from Tuesday 19th September onwards.
Fabulous Fifth Team:
What: Looking for a more casual approach to your korfball? Can’t make it to midweek training sessions? Looking for a new cult hero to worship? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then you might have found your team. Our infamous fifth team, spearheaded by Bec legend John Wilson, is on the hunt for new players. You won’t have to train every week but don’t be fooled, this team packs a punch and won their league last season!
